Kinnaree Media Marketing Managing Director Kirstie Flood, spent more than eight years in the world of London advertising agencies, including the UK’s number one, where she won awards Account Directing client campaigns for Land Rover, Orange Telecommunications (Business to Business) and the RNLI. Experienced in managing some of the best ‘Creative Types’ in the business, whilst championing the needs of prestigious clients. Prior to the land of ad agencies, she was on ‘the other side’ as a client on the mar-comms team of a blue chip bank.
A self-confessed English Literature addict, Kirstie enjoys working at Kinnaree Media alongside a truly talented editorial team and a pool of smart, globetrotting writers. Kirstie arrived in Phuket, Thailand in December 2004 following a year cruising the Ionian Islands with her Yacht master Husband; her family in Thailand includes her daughter Elizabeth Maya and two reformed street dogs.
E.L. Low :: Marketing Director
El has been with Kinnaree Media Marketing Co., Ltd. since 2000, enjoying the extensive network and excellent relationships with business colleagues and friends in Phuket and Thailand. Being part of the pioneering team of Tropical Living In Thailand magazine since its inception in 2001, El has his finger in every pie when it comes to property developments and property professionals in Thailand. With thousands of contacts of database under his belt, he is coined as 'the yellow pages' among colleagues in the industry.
A graduate from the University of Central Arkansas, USA, majoring in Marketing, El spent 4 years working at Sunway Marketing Sdn Bhd, a holding company of Sunway Group in Malaysia prior to moving to Phuket. With great experience from corporate background and a charismatic personality, El has brought with him invaluable experience in the property business and management skills that are evident by the popularity of Tropical Living In Thailand magazine.
Pear Maranphal ::
Marketing Manager
Pear was born in Bangkok but spent most of her life in the USA. Pear earned her Master's degree from the University of Texas, focusing in Information System and Marketing. She is well versed in various industries such as Food Services, Supply Chain Management and Oil & Gas. In addition to her diversified experience, she is also very adept in her cultural sense.
Pear had recently moved back to Bangkok to be closer to her aging parents. In her free time, Pear enjoys listening to music and traveling with her husband and her son.
A graduate from Thamasat University with a Bachelor degree of Liberal art and a Major in Psychology, Chungkwan has been working in sales and marketing for 3 years and for Tropical Living in Thailand magazine since 2005.
Chungkwan thrives in her marketing position at Tropical Living in Thailand and finds her position both challenging and rewarding. Needless to say she is very knowledgeable in the Thai property industry.
Jureeporn (Ome) Sawekwang :: Traffic Manager
Ome joined Kinnaree in July 2007 and has fast become an invaluable member of the team. With a friendly smile and bright service minded personality, Ome’s hard work ensures the Kinnaree office continues to function smoothly.
Originally from Nakhon Sri Thammarat, Ome arrived in Phuket 8 years ago to study Hotel and Tourism Management at Prince of Songkla University and has since gone on to work in the service industry at both the Laguna Hotels and Resorts Group and latterly at Horizon hotels as secretary to the General Manager. Ome especially enjoys the close family atmosphere of the Kinnaree office and likes to spend her spare time travelling in Thailand and shopping with friends.
Gareth Marshall :: Editor
After forging a successful career in retail management in his native UK, Gareth set out to Asia looking for a different challenge. Working with the British Council he built a reputation as an innovative, creative and dynamic teacher and trainer and contributed articles for publications such as the Bangkok Post. This led him to become a regular contributor to Tropical Living as well as other publications in both Thailand and the UK.
His linguistic abilities, management background, and his experience in Thailand have been brought together at Kinnaree Media where he has worked on both main publications.
Rachel Williams :: Editorial Assistant
With a Bachelors degree in Business Studies, Rachel has over 5 years experience in marketing in the UK. Her last position working for an international recruitment company enabled her to travel overseas to perform market research studies and execute large advertising campaigns. Rachel is experienced in all elements of marketing including advertising, web sites, company brochures, public relations, events and exhibitions.
James Goyder :: Sub Editor
James is an NCTJ qualified journalist from England who has a degree in English and Creative Writing. He has had articles published in a number of newspapers, both in Thailand and the UK, and is also a regular contributor to Tropical Living.
Sunee Suksonghong :: Art Director
Nakorn Pathom native, Su has been a member of the Tropical Living team since 2002, prior to that she graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree in Educational Technology and Visual Art, from Songkhla’s Thaksin University. Su is a keen artist who immerses herself in the world of Art, from visiting exhibitions to experimenting with paint and photography. Su has been instrumental in creating the art design and page layouts that make Tropical Living a joy to read.
Rossarin Mongkonbuth :: Graphic Designer
A Phang Nga native who was educated at Prince of Songkhla University in Pattani, Rossarin graduated with a BA in Educational Technology. Rossarin has been working for Kinnaree Media for just over one year. Rossarin enjoys taking photographs and reading novels. She also has a passion for romantic films and listening to both Thai and ‘foreign’ music.
Nakarin Banjerdjin :: Photographer
Voted number 1 in Thailand for his work in the ‘Identity of the Andaman’ exhibition, sponsored by the office of Contemporary Art and Culture, Ministry of Culture, in 2005. Nakarin has been photographing for Tropical Living since 2000; he holds a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts Photography from Bangkok’s Rangsit University. Tam shines when photographing landscapes and architecture, resulting in beautifully artistic photography.
Piyamas Taksin :: Chief Accountant
A Phuket native with 8 years Accounting experience, Piyamas has been working for Kinnaree Media for the past two years. She enjoys travelling around Thailand, her favourite place to visit is Yala for the beautiful mountain scenery however she also recommends Kata and Karon beaches in Phuket. Piyamas enjoys spending time with her large extended family that has lived in Phuket for many generations
Oranthai Wannathong :: Assistant Chief Accountant
From Nakorn Srithammarat in the South of Thailand, Oranthai came to Phuket for accounting work two and half years ago. She has been at Kinnaree Media for one and half years as the Assistant Chief Accountant. A graduate with a diploma in Accounting, she likes sleeping, eating spicy Southern food and jogging in the parks around Phuket.
Phatthamon Jontalee :: Admin Manager
Phatthamon or 'Noon' completed her BA in English Literature at Thammasat University. Before joining Kinnaree Media Marketing, she worked for the British Council Thailand for 4 years. She enjoys traveling very much; the northern part of Thailand is her favourite destination. Additionally, she often spends her free time on composing poems, watching thriller and horror movies and reading books, i.e. novels, travel guidebooks. Her favourite quote is 'To be or not to be. That's the question.'
Sontaya Thammapan :: Distribution Manager (Phuket)
Sontaya also known as ‘Nok’ is a Nakorn Si Thammarat native. Nothing is too much trouble for this Nok who has spent the last 16 years working for the Phuket Rescue Foundation An affable team member Nok joined Kinnaree Media in December 2007 to manage Phuket distribution points.
Chansak Jiewheng :: Messenger
Chansak or ‘X’ joined the Kinnaree team in February 2008. X is a graduate from Trang Polytechnic with a Diploma in Business Administration. Born in Trang X has been living in Phuket for four years. Always smiling and cheerful he enjoys watching TV, listening to music and going fishing in his free time.
Yutthana Sumaleetham :: Distribution Manager (Bangkok)
Roiet native ‘Yut’ has been working with Kinnaree media since the beginning of 2006. He is kept busy managing the distribution out of the All Seasons Place office in Bangkok. A quiet dependable team member Yut spends time with his two daughters and enjoys playing football or basketball when he is not working.
John Howard :: Lawyer
John has been practicing law in the Asia Pacific region for over 30 years. His specialisation is Real Estate Law, and he resides in Phuket as the Managing Partner of the Phuket office of Tilleke & Gibbins International, Thailand's oldest law firm.
Craig Taunton :: Investment Broker
Craig is a partner in the investment brokerage firm Haswell Pellant. Originally from South Africa Craig has lived and worked in a diverse number of countries such as the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, the US and now Thailand. He started his career in London at the Ritz Hotel after graduating from university in South Africa before moving into finance and company management which he has been involved with for the last thirteen years most recently working in venture capital in the US for six years before coming to Thailand.

Luke joined the Kinnaree Media team in September 2007 to pursue a lifelong interest in journalism and the media. Arriving in Phuket in August 2005, Luke previously worked in the real estate industry producing marketing copy and has also spent time in commercial insurance and business banking in the UK.
Cattleya Romero :: Writer
Caley is a Filipino with an International Business bachelors' degree and living in Thailand for over six years now. Presently, she is a full-time instructor under the Business English Bachelor's Program at Nakon Pathom Rajabhat University.
An experienced news and features writer, she developed her flair while actively writing for the Assumption College Publications in Manila during her college years; and, continues to do so by writing freelance and while pursuing her masteral studies in Development Communication under the University of the Philippines Open University.
